FUNDRAISERS
The Kootenay Lake Hospital Foundation operates five or more fundraisers per year. The Fundraisers are the catalysts for the Foundation and the public to purchase needed medical equipment and support special projects.
Events are also a vehicle for community businesses, service organizations, and individuals to become involved by taking a proactive approach to the level of health care in their community.
Events help create an awareness with the public about what the Foundation is and what it does.

EVENT DESCRIPTIONS:
Light Up the Hospitals, Our annual regional fundraiser. Includes many special events including All Hit KBS Pledge Day and the Polar Bear Dip on New Years Day. Proceeds purchase priority medical equipment for Kootenay Lake Hospital.
All Hit KBS Pledge Day...First Friday in December. Live Entertainment, Silent Auction, Used Book Sale, 50/50 Raffle and lots more! All funds raised benefit the Light Up the Hospitals campaigns at Kootenay Lake Hospital, Nelson Jubilee Manor and Victorian Community Health Centre of Kaslo
Polar Bear Dip...January 1 at Lakeside Park.
Caring Company Event...An annual event to recognize the businesses and community organizations that supported the Foundation over the previous calendar year.
Breath of Spring...An annual direct mail campaign. Letters are sent out to current donors to request funds to purchase priority medical equipment for Kootenay Lake Hospital.
Annual Legacy Golf Event...a 4 person scramble for golfers of all abilities! Hole in one prizes, door prizes, team prizes, putting contest and more. Register by calling the Foundation office at 354-2334. Proceeds from this event are directed to the Legacy Fund.
